In one sentence - it's a Youtube channel that is 'responsive' to all devices - desktop, phones, tablets, TV's. So now the question is - what is a responsive?

tremely important and has a lot to do with what's called 'Branding'.
Brand is the "name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller's good or service as distinct from those of other sellers." Initially, Branding was adopted to differentiate one person's cattle from another's by means of a distinctive symbol burned into the animal's skin with a hot iron stamp, and was subsequently used in business, marketing and advertising. A modern example of a brand is Coca Cola which belongs to the Coca-Cola Company. A brand is the most valuable fixed asset of a Corporation."
Upgrade to YouTube One Channel design now!
Let's look at a quick example.Charlie is an owner of a computer store called "CharTech". Charlie spends lot's of time and energy sitting in front of his computer at work and designing his YouTube channel. After a full day's work his 100 percent satisfied with the his new channel design. On his way back home, he reaches out to his Nexus 7 tablet (sorry iPad users, but Charlie is a big Google fan), and to his disappointment, he finds out that his new channel design isn't showing up correctly on the tablet. So he quickly takes out his Nexus 4, and check what his channel looks like on a mobile phone. And again, bad news. Charlie's hard work isn't appearing on either his tablet or mobile phone. So what can he do? Until the new YouTube One Channel solution - not much.
Even though his desktop version might look awesome, on other devices it's looking nothing like the original desktop version. People who reach Charlie's mobile channel have see none of charlie's branding - no header, no icons, no social links or anything else the desktop version offered. A new user might not even recognize it's the same CharTech channel.
And then came YouTube One Channel. Google in recent years, understood that the world is going mobile, and that requires adaptation. As a result, they keep offering users the tools to adapt to the transition in order to make it as smooth as possible. YouTube's new channel offers users a smooth transition between desktop and mobile devices, and want to ensure that users get the best experience.
There is no reason to wait. If you care about your audience, if you care about your branding, if you care about your content being viewed in the best possible way no matter where it's viewed... Make the upgrade.
It's not that difficult actually. All you need to do is create one great design, and that's it. It will appear smoothly throughout all of the devices.
